I am sure the dogs will not bother you in camp. They may come sniffing around but if they put their head in the tents you would scream at them in your loudest, lowest, harshest “aarrrgggghhhh” that you can muster, and they will run away.
The dogs chasing you on the wheel… that is another story…. My darling girls a good leather paddle could come in handy – I don’t suppose you packed one :))…perhaps make a whip/switch with some suitable wood and keep it stuck down your back pack. Just having it there means you’ll never need it.
