That people can find strength & solitude in their darkest places and times of need is a great thing. But then I reflect on the hatred, intolerance, violence, bigotry, uncompromising suffering that it brings to the world, the human distortion of noble thoughts and it fills me with equal measures of pity and despair. If only people could practice what they preach… Never let logic or thought get in the way of a single-minded, entrenched belief. May science and equality show us the way…
