Batumi is a very nice place with some good places to eat. Georgian wine is, of course, excellent. Don’t miss the Botanical gardens which are in a dramatic setting, plunging down into the Black Sea. Also in yesterday’s ‘Times’ there was a article about the ‘eccentric’ President of Turkmenistan becoming very pro-bicycle, which I will try to post on Facebook.
