The romantic notion of two people meandering their way across Europe, slowly and at a pace which allows the beauty of the moment and the occasion to fuse with the sense of adventure is often at the back of our minds. As we wonder how special your journey must be, we are also reminded of the grim reality of 'nature' and how I, as the most rubbish of all Australians, much prefer a comfortable bed, a lovely meal and a glass or two (or three) of wine. Hearing the bad and the ugly side of your quest makes us a little less jealous, and makes a day commuting through London a bit more bearable. Although, if we're honest, I would much prefer a clean, country bug in my mouth than a strangers sweaty armpit on the Victoria line!!
