While being chased by random barking dogs sounds less than pleasant, we are glad that your Christmas present has proved useful!! Although the idealic, romantic vision of country farmers untouched by modern corruption sounds lovely, any place which served ‘coffee’ like you described must be fled at warp speed and confined to a very distant memory – only to return to haunt you in moments if weakness!!
