There will be low points, but they are always outnumbered by the highs! What you are doing is fantastic, and the occasional ‘cut corner’ by taking a train by no means diminishes what you are doing overall. You are very brave and adventurous and I am greatly enjoying reading all that you write. People can be difficult and dishonest, but in general humanity is kind hearted. The environment can also be difficult and sometimes unforgiving, but your experiences are as broad as the landscapes. Take care and continue to have wonderful adventures. xxx M

You both are taking life a minute at a time and some of your minutes sound really really REALLY hard. I’m thinking of you both and sending love and peace with where you are moment to moment. I have never challenged myself to do something as far out of my comfort zone as you two have chosen. There is a reason why you started this journey – one way or another you will finish it as you are meant to. None of us know what tomorrow brings. None. The death toll saddens me. Friends, strangers continue to inspire and amaze me, wether it is going about daily routine on the tube, on the way to work or on a rickety ancient bicycle to the next village. Thank you for the support in what is actually our freedom to travel where and to an extent, as we please. X

Remember when we hitched that ride over the pass out of Kars? And I said I had nothing to prove well you also have nothing to prove, you have already! Your adventure sounds grueling and frustrating but non the less it’s an adventure. It’s getting dreary here and the death toll on London streets is out of control. 9 cyclist killed in about three weeks, very sad but maybe it will prompt more people to take to the hills on their bikes and head out to the nothingness! After all we have you both to inspire and amaze us. Whatever your decisions we all still admire you. I talk about u most days in the shop and pass on my admiration for you to inspire them. Keep on keeping on. Can’t wait to come and meet up with you soon.
