Tomorrow we leave Paris

After two significant days of sleeping in and walking the streets of Paris we leave tomorrow morning. Clare has kindly given directions to a canal slightly north of where we are staying near Montmartre. Once locating the canal hopefully following it out of Paris will be a breeze. Exciting on bicycle is notoriously difficult to navigate so we have chosen this option rather than aim for a velo route a significant distance south that is more on our otiginslly planned course. Plans out the window…..our canal more in the direction of Champagne. Think we can cope with this region!
From this point on I am entering my longest bike tour and expect any moment to wake up and return to the routine of work, and not the fantasy this has become.
